... aufgenommen. Hier ist Teil der original email. Wenn gewuenscht kann ich das auch uebersetzen.

"Captured stock from Norway that went through the UN and then US Army to anti-Communist North Korean partisans. The late LtCol ..., the units' American advisor, was a militaria collector with obviously a sense of humor."

...

"1Lt ... was 25 years old in Korea at the time Jun 51 when he took
this picture and had only been in the occupation of Japan in 46-48. His
only militaria he had collected to this date was Samurai swords and
Arisakas and a rich history of the US Civil War. The United Nations
sent these uniforms because the unit didn't have any uniforms and could
be shot as traitors by either side. He said that the Koreans say the
bird as superior and the swastika as the ying yang. They removed the
eagles off the camo and put them on the dyed blue coats. The coats I
have been told were also WWII German Navy or Africkorps dyed. I often
though it was humor but thing of the confusion in the Communist intel
about SS troops supporting South Korea. Hey they were in French
uniforms in Vietnam. "
