Hanau

Ich bekam vor kurzem folgende Mail (ich hoffe ihr könnt soweit englisch?)

Can you provide me with any information on the WWII role of this airfield now occupied by US Forces near Hanau, Germany? It was supposedly used for the first night raids on the Netherlands, was flooded in the daytime to look like a lake, and is said to have 3 underground aircraft storage bunkers ( although many weekends of searching have yielded only blocked-off tunnel entrances. ) There have been several cases of large trucks falling through the street and exposing these facilities.

Ich stehe mit ihm in Kontakt, und er hat bis 99 dort intensiv gesucht, auch mehrere kleine Stollen gefunden. In USA zurück hat er einen Sergeant getroffen der auch da stationiert war. Der sprach davon, er und einige andere hätten "im Keller" einen Zugang zu grösseren unterirdischen Räumen gefunden. Einen Raum hätten sie untersucht, darin Daimler Generatoren etc.
Weiss da jemand was? Gerüchte über Anlagen etc.?
