Hier was aus Englische und Amerikanische forums von heute !!
If any of you have a T-Moble, T-Online, or Deutsche Telekom connection, subscrition etc., I can only advise you to get rid of it as quickly as possible !! they are a major International group operating world wide including Britain and the States, Canada etc.,. They have a scam going which I didn´t know a bout untill they tried it on me this morning. Sooner or later you get a bill from a debt collector agency stating that you have unpayed bills to the amount of £ ???,??, over here it´s usually between € 250,00 and € 3.500,00, and that they´ve sent you reminders to which you haven´t reacted. You haven´t had any reminders because you´ve paid all your bills, or you have something (like one guy on the German forum € 14,95 open) who got a bill for € 220,00 plus costs or else !!. They don´t do a specification of the bill, just a total amount, and don´t react if you ask for a specified list of the bills they say are open. You just get more letters with threats of court action and people turning up on the door. This quite often happens about 6 months to 3 years after terminating a contract with them, so keep all the payment receipts safe. Even when you send them copies of the payments made, they continue, and many people being afraid of further costs, then pay, even though they owe nothing !! They generally target people of low income, or unemployed, knowing that they can´t afford a lawyer (Over here, even if you win, you still have to pay your own costs (They offset theirs from tax), and legal aid you have to repay).
Here´s a Google search of their practices in Germany. The debt collector is either wholely owed or continuosly in the service of this German Conglomerate.
Seiler & Kollegen
(This is in German, but the TV, Newspapers, and even the Public Prosecutors Office don´t seem to be able to curb their activities, even after several proven cases of illegal bills)
