Original drum hook (small) of the Prussian army,
gilt iron, with original leather strap for the belt,
long time used,not much gold left, but in original
condition. ( The old army drum hooks had been
given a priority by the drummers later in the
Reichswehr and Wehrmacht units, as an traditional
act and NOT against any regulations, although the
following armies create an own drum hook design.)
Besides, since the times of Friedrich II., Frederick the Great, any Prussian
unit had musicians and instruments on a Kompanie "Company" level-
three is company ;-) Any Prussian Kompanie, or in vintage spelling,
Kompagnie, in 1914 had three musicians- Hornist, Trommler, Pfeifer,
playing the horn, the drum and the German flute.
