Hello from Poland
I'm looking for information about beautiful eagle FWR. I think it was make in the beggining of XIX c. Could You help me to recognize this object??? Is it military badge? Military post or something different?
Metal brass - messig. Dimension 7,5 x 9,5 cm. Found in north Poland near Kwidzyn city.

im not really sure, but it could be a badge from Prussia Post/Telecommunications ?!

Preußen, baby. The initials name FWR, what stands for "Fridericus Wilhem Rex", the king of prussia (often Borussorum, like Borussia Dortmund). It´s hard to say, which FW it was. I suppose the monogram means the II. (1786-1797) or the III. (1770-1840). It´s even minted on the coins...have a look: http://www.muenzauktion.com/rittig/i...p5?id=91027004 .

Thank You very much. This seems it is post or telegraph official bagde from last years of XVIII or first XIX c.
