Vista und Plextor

Da mein PC etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist habe ich ein paar Komponenten (Board,Ram,CPU und Grafikkarte) gekauft. Funktioniert soweit auch alles super. Aber sobald ich Vista Home Premium installieren möchte bemängelt er schon beim Systemcheck das ein Treiber für den DVD Brenner fehlt (Plextor Px750A). Leider gibt es keinen Treiber zum Download oder auf CD da lt. Plextor die Rekorder durch Windows standard mäßig erkannt werden und auch funktionieren. Bei mir aber nicht. Wer hat eine Idee?

es könnte an den atapi - treibern liegen. eventuell findest du das benötigte auf der motherboard support cd. hier schien das abhilfe geschaffen zu haben:

Das ist die Firmware, die hab ich als erstes Upgedated ohne Erfolg.

Try this, it worked for me. My Asus P5LD2-VM m'board came with a CD with utilities etc. One menu option is " Make ITE8211 32/64 bit IDE driver disc"
(floppy). Do this (or download drivers from Asus site and copy to disc). The
disc then contains the various driver versions in folders (eg Windows XP). To
get the Vista installation to recognise the files, you need to select the
right set (Win64, in my case) and copy them to the root directory of the
floppy. Insert the floppy when prompted and you can load the driver, and
installation will continue. Good luck.
